Sri Siva Jyothi Temple extends a warm invitation to all devotees this year’s “Mahasivaratri Celebrations” on Saturday, February 26th 2025, starting at 5:00 pm. 

This year’s SIvarathri is even more auspicious because of Maha Kumba Mela which has come after more than a century, 144 years. Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 kicked off on January 13th 2025- and will be celebrated for the next 45 days- with February 26 being the last day.

Program Details:

– **5:00 pm – 05:30 pm:** Vigneswara Pooja

– **5:30 pm – 10:45 pm:** Ekadasha Rudrabhishekam

– **11:15 pm – 12:05 am:** Lingodhbhava Kala Pooja

Lord Shiva is worshipped through Ekadasha Rudrabhishekam, and the significance of each Rudram is as follows:

1. **1st Rudram:** For good health and behaviour (Approx. time: 10 to 15 mins) 

2. **2nd Rudram:** To overcome financial problems, improve communication, and prevent family disturbances (10 to 15 mins)

3. **3rd Rudram:** For the welfare of siblings and a harmonious neighborhood (10 to 15 mins)

4. **4th Rudram:** To possess a home, vehicle, enhance education, and benefit Mother’s health (10 to 15 mins)

5. **5th Rudram:** To be blessed with children, ensure their good health and education, and foster wisdom (10 to 15 mins)

6. **6th Rudram:** To prevent illness and overcome enemies (10 to 15 mins)

7. **7th Rudram:** To eliminate marital issues and business partnership problems (10 to 15 mins)

8. **8th Rudram:** To prevent mental tensions and ensure a long life (10 to 15 mins)

9. **9th Rudram:** To enhance wealth and gain recognition in the community (10 to 15 mins)

10. **10th Rudram:** To secure good job opportunities and eliminate issues related to foreign travel (10 to 15 mins)

11. **11th Rudram:** All of the above (Sarvatra Labham) (20 to 25 mins)

Participation in Ekadasha Rudrabhishekam is believed to prevent Nava Graha doshams in the Jataka Kundali, Sani doshams, and Sarpa doshams.
